Four goals and five points in two games earned Asher Lucas of the Williams Lake Mustangs his second Young Guns selection.
The Williams Lake native recorded a hat-trick and four points in the Mustangs’ 9-5 win over the Kelowna Chiefs on Nov. 1. He then collected a goal in their 5-2 win over the Castlegar Rebels.
“I thought I played well and our team played well. We have been gelling and working really hard and I’m grateful that it’s paying off,” said Lucas. “I was getting open at the right times and my teammates were making some really great plays. We were generating offence from forechecking hard and overall just making great plays together and finding each other.”
Lucas has 12 goals and 21 points in 14 games, which ranks him fourth in the league and first among KIJHL rookies.
