Logan Hauk of the Williams Lake Mustangs is this week’s Young Guns selection after he scored three goals and added an assist in three games.
The Prince George native had his biggest performance in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Merritt Centennials, netting a hat-trick.
“I was able to find the right spots throughout the game and be where I needed to be at certain times and my linemates were finding me,” said Hauk, of what he did to produce. “My linemates and I were working well together and I got lucky to get all three.”
An offensive threat, Hauk views himself as a goal-scorer and playmaker.
“Lately I’ve been leading towards being more of a goal-scorer. It definitely helps when I’m playing with the same line consistently and they know where I am at all times. We move the puck around well.”
Hauk is fifth on the Mustangs with 32 points in 28 games.
